macey and justin :: wisconsin barn wedding

Jess and I pulled into the driveway and both of our jaws dropped! We saw the haybails, the ribbons hanging from the trees, the perfect red barn, the vineyard area and all of the details starting to come together! We both looked at each other and loudly announced that we wish this was our wedding we were pulling up to! :)

The entire day was like this. A bouquet of home made fabric flowers from her mom, freshly jared raspberry jam for the guests to take home, home made cookies for dessert, family heirlooms scattered across the tables as decor! Detail after detail that Macey showed us we smiled a gigantic smile…you know, the kind of smile you gave your friend at the playground in 2nd grade when she decided to share her pop-rocks with you. That kind! :) A super excited, how-awesome-can-you-really-be kind of smile. Although, I have to admit, I wasn’t really THAT surprised because Macey and I graduated from College together, both from the Art department, and I remember how amazingly creative and awesome she was back then….so I secretly was expecting something fabulous. And she DID NOT disappoint! :)

Macey and Justin spent a low-key morning tying the knot surrounded by their family and friends, followed by a DELISH lunch complete with a roasted pig! :) Tons of hugs, smiles and “YAY’s” were thrown out to the bride and groom as the afternoon passed…it was relaxed, family focused and just a PERFECT day for them! :)
