For 2 people that LOVE winter and LOVE snowboarding (and most every other outdoor activity) we had no choice with their engagement session. It was a perfect winter morning at Afton Alps; with new snow still packed on the trees as the sun was rising behind the hill, we hit the slopes for some photos. Ehhhem…correction, Laura and Mitch hit the slopes while I stood in the middle of the hill bundled from head to toe in Smart Wool and my North Face winter jacket that looks like a sleeping bag, complete with eskimo fur on the hood (this is how I roll in the winter! :) I ended up shivering my minute 2 of the shoot, but gosh, was it worth it! :)
Mitch and Laura giggled their way through our morning time of shooting, and it was the funnest on the planet! If you can’t already tell, Laura is my fantastic cousin (I get the “is she your sister?” line all the time)! :) Her and Mitch are tying the knot this June and there is something so special about photographing a family member’s wedding. The love, the day and the emotions are heightened for me and I am honored to do so! :)
