It felt like Christmas for a few weeks in July…three magazine features for the summer months! WOAH! :)
Lauren and David have a GORGEOUS full page spread in Wisconsin Bride Magazine, Shauna and Travis have a wedding feature in Minnesota Bride magazine (because they are rock-stars and needed to be in TWO of their issues) and the AMAZING Krys and Scott’s wedding is a FOUR PAGE FEATURE in The Knot Minnesota’s summer issue! :)
Talk about feeling blessed and thankful! :) WOW!
I never have really thought of myself as a “blogger”! :) But, when Alice from the UK based “Wedding Ideas” magazine contacted me about doing a little feature about how to get the best wedding photos, I about died reading the e-mail! “GOSH, someone wants ME (little old ME) to write something for them?! About photography?!?! WOAH!” My head immediately started to spin, and while I know that most everyone I’ve ever met in my life won’t see the article, since it’s in a magazine being circulated in the UK, I still got excited and got to work! Writing an article like this is extremely humbling! I have never thought of myself as a “sought after” photographer before (and while I’m not even claiming that title) I still found it quite amazing that my words and my ideas would come as advice for someone trying to plan a wedding. So…here it is, the spread in the magazine…isn’t it just great?!! :) I’m quite proud! :)
They planned it just perfectly! :) Gorgeous bridesmaids, fabulous venues, Laura’s AAAAHhhh-mazing dress, a handsome groom, a gorgeous ball-room reception site…it was just perfect! :) Their classy wedding was to die for and I was THRILLED to be there! :) Although, snow was in the vision when the planning begun for February, nobody could complain when the day came and it was a balmy 30* outside! The sun was shining and the families were thrilled…the day was near perfection! :)
