You may remember this talented duo from a workshop that I taught this past Spring and you may recognize the amazing craftiness of Dena from her FABULOUS paper goods! :) They needed some new photos this fall, so we traipsed out to a few fields in nearby Wisconsin and shot about 10 rolls of film! :) It was a pretty darn good time, if you ask me! :)

I walked in and KNEW, just *knew* that it would not only be a rad time at the engagement session, but also their amazing winter-filled February wedding that they are planning in St. Paul! :) Their easy-going spirit and super sweet smiles are what make their photos just perfect and full of life! :)

All three of us sat on the couch in my living room drumming up ideas and getting louder and louder with excitement as each idea came to mind! Nick and Jessica are fun-loving people that grab life by the horns and LIVE! They wanted an engagement session that wasn’t “posed” or stale…they wanted something fun and “THEM”….so, why not? Why not do a mini-day-in-the-life-of Jessica and Nick (well, afternoon-in-the-life-of actually! :) They loved to cook, they loved to laugh, they loved to read, they loved their dog, they loved Jess’s Vegan home-made dishes, they loved to go for walks, and they loved coffee. All things they would normally do on a Sunday afternoon…so why, not shoot that! :) YAY!
I met Jess and Nick at their ADORABLE apartment in Minneapolis and we hit the ground running, along with their newly adopted pup! It was one of those engagement sessions that I walked away with a HUGE SMILE when we were done…..I really, REALLY couldn’t wait to chat more about their wedding, get to know their details and spend an entire day next November with them as they become husband and wife! You don’t meet people like Nick and Jessica too often! They are honest, down-to-earth, truth-living people that you just want to be around….gosh, November 3rd can’t come fast enough! :)
